# How to locate your Vault .JSON File

If you would like to be able to unlock your vault in different browsers or on a different device, or simply to have a file backup to have access to your vault, you can export and download the .JSON file of your encrypted Vault.

To get your encrypted Vault .JSON file:

* Log into your vault.
* Go to the top right of the screen and click the cog icon ⚙️.
* Press on "Export" to download your encrypted vault.

**Keep this file very safe.** The encrypted vault file will allow access into your Vault, so keep this file very safe so that you avoid any unauthorised access to your Vault.\

To use the file, when you access the vault choose "import your vault".&#x20;
