  • Band 71 AirNode: An AirNode using long-range Band 71 frequencies, useful for powering large stretches of land.

  • Blockchain: Distributed ledger technology that makes transactions secure.

  • CBRS AirNode: An AirNode using short-range CBRS frequencies, useful for powering small neighbourhoods and localities.

  • Coverage: The geographic area served by an AirNode.

  • DePIN (Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Network): A community-driven, distributed network model.

  • Downtime: The time percentage an AirNode is inactive.

  • EarthNode: Part of the World Mobile network that is responsible for data processing.

  • Explorer: A tool for viewing network metrics and AirNode status.

  • Host: A person offering a location for an AirNode.

  • Host Eligibility: Requirements Hosts need to meet, such as power and internet for AirNodes.

  • Host-Operator: Someone who both provides their location for, and operates an AirNode.

  • Internode API: A protocol enabling different nodes to communicate.

  • Last-Mile Connectivity: The final segment of delivering internet access to users.

  • Network Map: A visual showing AirNode locations and their status.

  • Operator: An individual who manages an AirNode, handling setup and maintenance.

  • Rewards: Earnings for Operators and Hosts providing network services.

  • Spark AirNode: A Wi-Fi-based AirNode designed for private households, small businesses, and public WiFi connectivity.

  • Uptime: The time percentage an AirNode is active.

  • WiFi AirNode: An AirNode offering small-area WiFi coverage.
