Role overview

To host and operate an AirNode, individuals need to provide a suitable location for installing AirNodes in addition to managing network coverage and connectivity, ensuring high-quality service. The process involves setting up and running AirNodes, monitoring network performance remotely and ensuring efficient operation.

Eligibility requirements

As a Host-Operator, you need the combined resources and skills of an AirNode Host and an AirNode Operator.

The hosting location must have reliable power, good internet connectivity (fibre optic recommended), and sufficient height or visibility to ensure optimal signal coverage. Correct placement is critical to successful AirNode operation.

In addition, as Host-Operators, you need to have:

  • Technical Skills: A basic understanding of network infrastructure.

  • Internet Access: Reliable internet connection for remote management.

  • Commitment to Maintenance: Willingness to monitor and maintain your AirNode, including troubleshooting issues.
