# Network equipment

We use a combination of equipment that differs depending on the need of a site or region. 

In some cases for IoT, we use HAPS/helikites/balloons/aerostats. To deliver super-fast connectivity, we are using free-space optics wherever possible or running fibre backhaul and then pushing coverage via a mesh network. Our network can deliver cellular and Wi-Fi connectivity or just Wi-Fi connectivity.

We are working with Professor Slim Alouni to research and develop the best ways to deploy hybrid networks. 

We have deployment teams on the ground in each region we work in that coordinate installations and network rollout. Each implementation could be slightly different, as they are influenced by a range of regional factors. We are creating network deployments using the most efficient configurations possible and deploying software that can interface with this hardware and provide affordable and reliable connectivity.
